About the Author

The Director of Curriculum and Instruction at the award-winning Leman Academy of Excellence (a public, classical, charter school with nine campuses throughout Arizona and Colorado), Kristin Leman O’Reilly oversees curriculum and the Leman educational philosophy.

Kristin began her educational journey nearly three decades ago and has an M.A. in Teaching, a B.A. in Elementary Education, and a B.A. in Psychology. She has taught in both private and charter schools, holding various leadership roles as Curriculum Coordinator, Professional Development Administrator, and Vice Principal.

Passionate about mentoring teachers and training them to be lifelong learners to inspire the next generation of leaders, Kristin created the Teacher Recognition Program at LAE to honor teachers and shower them with the appreciation they deserve. She annually trains nearly 400 incoming and resident LAE teachers and supports them throughout the year with ongoing Professional Development workshops.

Kristin, her husband, Dennis, and children, Conner and Adeline, reside in Tucson, Arizona.
