About the Author

DR. DAMON FRIEDMAN received his commission in 2000 as a United States Marine Corps officer. He is now a retired US Air Force Special Warfare officer, decorated with two Bronze Stars and one Bronze Star with Valor. He also received the Spirit of Hope Award for his national efforts to help the veteran community. In 2011, Dr. Friedman established SOF Missions with a focus on empowering warriors to find purpose and be resilient. This national nonprofit offers a unique approach to veteran care through a whole-health, interdisciplinary method, addressing psychological, physical, spiritual, and social wellness.
